Creablablablog & Kaboodle Doodle Challenges

Thought I'd do another 'bon voyage' card for Heather as when I started using these free papers from the new Kaboodle Doodle challenge I felt they were taking on a bit of a SE Asian feel and that's where Heather is heading. I followed the sketch from the french Creablablablog challenge sketch #21.
Ma carte pour La Creablablablog #21: J'ai utlilisé des papiers gratuits de Kaboodle Doodle et la carte espére Heather une 'bon voyage' à Asie.

Goodbye card for Heather

For Heather's challenge... Ma carte de 'bon voyage' pour Heather...
Not sure how this turned out so distressed or masculine but I started with wanting to use the 'bon voyage' stamp, pulled out a similar set of Inkadinkadoo stamps by mistake so I used them for the background images and it just went from there...
I used / J'ai ulilisé : Cuttlebug 'script' embossing; Stamps / Tampons de: Inkadinkadoo & Royal Langnickel; Paper / Papier: K&Co; Ink / Encre : Ranger Distressing Ink (Straw), Whispers brown & Brilliance black.

Cuttlebug demo

After seeing some other things I'd made using the cuttlebug, a group gave me some advance orders and asked me to do a demo which I did last night so these 2 cards were to demonstrate some of the different materials that can be used: The horseshoe is from a coke can (thanks for the tip Sue!). It went well: I have even more orders now :)

J’ai fait une démonstration de le ‘cuttlebug’ hier soir donc j’ai fait 2 cartes vite qui ont utilisé différent matériaux (le fer à cheval est d’une canette de coca!)

Also from a craft evening I took my sister-in-law to last week: Serviette art is very popular here so I thought it was time to have a go! Don't laugh - It will get pride of place in my greenhouse!

L’utilisation de serviettes papier à décorée des choses est populaire ici donc j’essayé le technique ! Ne rigole pas - J’aime mon joli pot !

Blog candy WILL arrive tomorrow: I'm well over the 5000 just haven't had time to finish getting it together! Thanks for looking and adding to the numbers :) And I won one of Terria's candies (so never say never) - Thanks again Terria!

Blog candy arrivera demain !

Last minute for Papertake Weekly challenge

I had a quick look at what challenges I'd been missing and managed to join in this one on PTW: Button It! This is one of several decoupage made while sitting on the beach so sprang to mind when I saw the challenge and I added a real button for good measure.

Ma carte pour le challenge avec un/des bouton(s) ! J’ai utilisé un découpage j’ai fait quand j’eus assis sur la plage !

Candy Alerts

Been catching up on some blog hopping and found lots of candy: See the candy roll on the right, not that I ever win any but it's fun!
To wet your appetite here is Xtina's candy including the chocolate!

An award while I was away !

You would think from the post below that I have been locked away doing lots of designing: Not a chance! In fact we have made 2 return trips to UK, including with a hired lorry, to empty our UK house ready for renting and then had a few days rest camping on the Ile d'Oleron (west coast of France) where we met up with some British, French and German friends. While the big furniture is being stored in a friend's barn, we are floor to ceiling with boxes here and my sister-in-law and her husband are arriving for a week on Tuesday! However, I have orders to fulfill so promise some cards will appear soon. I will also get some blog candy together as I am sooooo close to that 5000 figure!

Big thanks to Donna who gave me this award while I was away: Such a lovely complement.
