Forever Friends découpage - 1st birthday card

It's our grand-daughter's 1st birthday Monday so I finished this card last night to be posted with her presents today! It fits two current challenges too: Forever Friends of having 2 layers + ribbon + something sparkly, and the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge of including a heart. When looking for ideas of what to do I came across this FF decoupage set I bought some time ago so the backing paper, decoupage and sparkly heart is from there and I added the gems, ribbon and typed text, inked with ColorBox chalk.Une carte pour le premier anniversaire de notre petite-fille: Un découpage créé avec un set de 'Forever Friends' - papier, découpage et planche de stickers (j'ai utilisé le sticker de coeur). J'ai ajouté les petites pierres, ruban, et le texte qui j'ai imprimé et encré aux bords avec ColorBox craie. J'ai suivi deux challenges: Forever Friends qui demande l'utilisation de deux fonds + ruban + quelque chose scintillent, en plus le challenge de Spoon Full of Sugar parce que j'ai utilisé un coeur!

Forever Friends

Been busy making cards all week but can't show you many at the moment and most are quick cards that I don't bother to blog but today I've made 14 Forever Friends découpage cards, having had the découpage already done so today was just mounting them. This week's challenge on the Forever Friends blog is 'Monochrome' so, like the DT, I haven't counted the brown of the bear and kept this card all pink as my entry for the challenge.From the 'Party Bag' pack with papers from the 'Loving You' pack.

I love the various découpage packs: Such a great character and they are so easy to do and come with co-ordinating papers, although I don't always use these. Forever Friends birthday card

This one is for my sister's birthday today, so I hope she's got it! I think the FF decoupage packs are great although I haven't yet come across die-cut découpage that I don't still feel the need to improve with a good cut! I've been sitting in the evenings découpaging (anglicising a french word!) and have a big tub full ready to mount on to cards now!
This one is mounted on a Nestabilities Scalloped Oval, cut, inked and butted against some adhesive ribbon hiding the join of 2 printed papers from the pack. Wish I'd taken a photo of it lying down: That individual smartie in the front has 6 layers!!!
