Sunday Stampers - 'Bee Happy'

Can't believe we were walking on the beach in perfect calm this morning enjoying reflections on the water and seeing a heron, egrets, an oystercatcher and lots of other lovely birds and now it's all wind and rain!
A quick card for the Sunday Stamper challenge: Masked the large sunflower to stamp the other two (and now wish I'd placed a third in the centre) and layered the bee on cream card and then tissue paper, sticking just the body so the wings can 'fly' and then attaching the bee with a foam pad so he is hovering. Stamps from an under-used SeeDs 'Sunflower' set with 'Frayed Burlap' Distress Ink. Having rediscovered the stamps I also made these couple with the same set, black Brilliance inkpad and coloured with Whispers markers.

Sunday Stampers and Friday Taggers

I didn't intend to do 2 challenges in one but the ideas floated around until these came out: Sunday Stampers current challenge is 'Alphabet Street' and the Tag you're It! challenge ending today was 'monochrome'. I did the blue version first but wasn't entirely happy with it and decided at over 20cm/8" it was a bit long for an average book so I did the red one which is 16cm/6" and I glazed 'Lire' being the French 'to read'.
Used: Cuttlebug 'Script' embossing folder, Brilliance inks, SU! grosgrain ribbon, SeeDs alphabets (whimsy, plain jane & large swirl), Making Memories brad.

J'ai creé 2 marque-page pour les challenges de Sunday Stampers 'Alphabet' et de Tag you're It! 'monochrome'.
J'ai utiliseé le Cuttlebug classeur de gaufrage 'Script', encre Brilliance, ruban de SU!, Tampons alphabets de SeeDs et attachés parisienne de Making Memories.

Sunday Stampers - Friendship decoupage & stamp

Just time to sneak in the challenge set on Sunday Stampers last week: 'With a little help from my friends'. The relevance here is more the sentiment than the stamping as that is the only thing I have stamped.

I have made the card for my French tutor as the course finishes tomorrow. The class has had a collection to buy her something nice and I said I would make a card. She has admired the decoupage I have made in lunch breaks and for requests by classmates so I think she'll like this. The friends made on the course, of lots of different nationalities, has been brilliant as we have supported each other in our progress and cheered our successes. Our tutor has met all our differing needs expertly so we really are very grateful to her. I have a long way to go to be bi-lingual but I have made a lot of progress in the last 4 months.

Sunday Stampers - Lady

The challenge on Sunday Stamper this week is "I'm A Laydeeee": To make something using a stamp with a female image. This is a super quick card but I like it all the more for that! I'm about to do a 2-day demo at an art exhibition Sunday and Monday and need to do displays as well as lots of cards and to sort out what to take with me so every minute counts at the moment! I'm also putting together a few cards for the expo prize draw so this may well go in there as it is an 'any occasion' card.
Inkadinkadoo image stamped on brown with white ink, on white with brown ink, cut and layered the lady. Mounted on a cream card blank with brown ink smudged round edges.

Sunday Stampers - Oriental

I used the same stamp (Inkadinkado) for a black, white & silver card few weeks ago. Decided I'd go brighter this time for the Sunday Stampers Challenge - Oriental. Had these green & purple pieces sitting on my table a while as they are so fresh and go so well together although you might not think so from the photo!

Sunday Stampers - Man

The Sunday Stampers Challenge this week has been to create something with a man on. This is a very under-used stamp for me so last minute quick card by giving him a dust off, stamping with distressing ink and layering up with a peel-off sentiment coloured with permanent pens. Not sure who the recipient will be, which is why I've opted for 'Meilleurs Voeux' (best wishes) as the sentiment, but next time my husband wants a last minute card for one of his chums in the cycling club I'm ready!
