Happy New Year! My resolution of posting here more often as already fallen short but I'm not complaining: I've been very busy in the shop! Following my last post about the first tag workshops, here is a little more detail of tag 2:

This is a Ranger Kraft tag. I spread Picket Fence Distress Stain to the central part and, when dry, I used Cut'n'Dry to sponge Tarnished Brass Distress Stain through a Tim Holtz 'Clockworks' Layering Stencil: It has a beautiful gold shimmer when the light catches it. The ribbon was used to mop up so that it is also coloured to match! The clock, die cut from chipboard with the Sizzix 'Weathered Clock' die and covered with Tarnished Brass Distress Crackle Paint, also has a beautiful shimmer and, once dry, had Walnut Stain Distress Ink worked in to the cracks. The tag is stamped with Tim Holtz stamps and embellished with a ticket (Sizzix die) stamped with the multi-colour technique (Tim Holtz 'Odds and Ends' stamp set with 3 Distress Ink markers and edged with Walnut Stain DI). For the flourish at the bottom, I coloured some book paper with Antique Linen DI, die cut and sanded some Distress color-core card with the Holiday Greens dies and coloured an acrylic flower and a bead with Watermelon Alcohol Ink and stuck them in place with Tacky Glue. The silver crown at the top is coloured with Walnut Stain Distress Paint and Silver Adirondack Dabber to give it an aged appearance and match it to the rest of the tag.

Ci-dessus est un Tag Kraft de Ranger. J'ai l'étalé Picket Fence Distress Stain à la partie centrale et, lorsqu'il est sec, j'ai utilisé Cut'n'Dry d'éponger Tarnished Brass Distress Stain sur le pochoir 'Clockworks' de Tim Holtz: Il a une belle lueur d'or quand la lumière l'attrape. Le ruban a été utilisé pour éponger de sorte qu'il est également de couleur qui correspondre! L'horloge, découpé de chipboard avec le die Sizzix 'Weathered Clock' et couvert de la peinture cracklé Distress Tarnished Brass est aussi une belle miroitement et, une fois sec, avait Walnut Stain Distress Ink a travaillé dans les petites fissures. La tag est tamponnée avec des tampons de Tim Holtz et embelli avec un billet (Sizzix die) tamponné avec la technique multi-couleurs (le set tampons 'Odds and Ends' de Tim Holtz défini avec trois marqueurs d'encre Distress et bordée de Walnut Stain Distress). Pour la guirlande au fond, j'ai colorié du papier de livre avec Ancient Linen Distress Ink, découpé et poncé le feuillage des papiers Distress 'color-core' avec les dies 'Holiday Greens' et coloré une fleur acrylique et une perle avec alcool encre 'Watermelon' et les collé en place avec 'Tacky Glue'. La couronne argenté au dessus est colorée de la peinture Distress 'Walnut Stain' et la Adirondack Dabber 'Argent' pour lui donner un aspect vieilli et le faire correspondre au reste de la tag.
